The Longest Day!
The new name was supposed to better reflect its specialized training capabilities. It was designated as a centre of excellence for winter, desert and jungle warfare, as well as a subset of amphibious warfare.  The CFLAWC conducted the Patrol Pathfinder course, the toughest in the Canadian Army. It also conducted Parachutist and mountain operations courses.

The Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC, French: Centre d'instruction supérieure de l'Armée canadienne) is the current Canadian Forces training facility located at CFB Trenton, Ontario, Canada.

In June–August 2013 the Advanced Warfare Centre was renamed from Canadian Forces Land Advanced Warfare Centre (CFLAWC). Before CFLAWC, it was formerly known as the Canadian Parachute Centre (CPC) since 1996, and traces its lineage from the Canadian Airborne Centre (CABC), which was located at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton until 1996. It was renamed and its mandate expanded to become a "centre of excellence" for advanced war-fighting skills for the Canadian Army.

"The Longest Day" is the official March of the Canadian Airborne Regiment.

The Longest Day is from a 1962 epic war film based on Cornelius Ryan's 1959 book The Longest Day (1959), about the D-Day landings at Normandy on June 6, 1944, during World War II.

The Canadian Airborne Regiment was a Canadian Forces formation created on April 8, 1968. It was not an administrative regiment in the commonly accepted British Commonwealth sense, but rather a tactical formation manned from other regiments and branches. It was disbanded in 1995 after the Somalia Affair.

The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada is the only airborne unit in the Primary Reserve. As a result, they have a special mandate to provide support to CFLAWC in the form of jumpmasters, parachute riggers, and instructors.

The Canadian Forces Land Advanced Warfare Centre (CFLAWC) is a Canadian Forces training facility located at CFB Trenton, Ontario Canada. It is commonly abbreviated as CFLAWC. It was formerly known as the Canadian Parachute Centre, but was renamed and expanded to become a "Centre of Excellence" for the Canadian Army.
Original Lyrics

Many men came here as soldiers
Many men will pass this way
Many men will count the hours
As they live the longest day
Many men are tired and weary
Many men are here to stay
Many men won't see the sunset
When it ends the longest day
The longest day the longest day
This will be the longest day
Filled with hopes and filled with fears
Filled with blood and sweat and tears
Many men the mighty thousands
Many men to victory
Marching on right into battle
In the longest day in history
